To procure, design and fit out a modular building.
-
Partway through the project, the client requested the addition of a clinical trials suite to include a walk-in chiller. This was designed by our team and fitted into the new building. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the availability of modular buildings was beyond the timescales of the project and the client asked for an alternative solution. Through stakeholder engagement and design specifications, we proposed the construction of a portal frame building.
Through a rigorous planning application process, we completed the design including building services to Part L2 - which requires new build designs to have renewable energy sources. As a result, we successfully built and delivered an air source heat pump into the design.
