  • Construct a new two-storey 743sqm building on a live school site featuring a new reception hall, 8 classrooms, plantroom, administrative spaces, stores and toilet facilities.

  • Helix delivered a modern, sustainable and future-ready learning environment. Implementing strict safeguarding protocols, enhanced DBS checks, bespoke site inductions, and close collaboration with school staff throughout the delivery.

    • Consideration for SEND and SEMH provision in line with Building Bulletin 104.

    • Accessible and inclusive integration of natural light, sustainable materials, and biophilic principles to create a calm, inspiring place to learn.

    • Improved access, flow, and security across the school campus.

    • Dedicated plant room, new water systems, and energy-efficient infrastructure ensure the building is both future-proofed and sustainable, targeting high environmental performance.

    • Sustainable features including PV panels, efficient glazing, and a highly insulated thermal envelope.

    • External wall insulation and high-performance windows for improved energy efficiency.

    • Roof U-Values designed for insulation and reduced energy demand.

    • PV solar array on the roof to harness renewable energy.

    • Timber shingles integrated into the façade to connect with the landscaped backdrop.

    • Natural louvre systems on the south-facing façade to reduce solar gains.

    • Concrete floor plates providing high thermal mass for energy-efficient heating and cooling.

    • Retention of all existing trees on site, alongside new tree planting for a biodiversity net gain.
